Amidst the breathtaking landscape of our beloved metropolis, Chicago, lies an abundance of havens to satisfy your daily caffeine cravings. Join me on a stroll through Mr. Rogers’s neighborhood as I unveil a collection of noteworthy spots, both in the city and its charming suburbs, where you can indulge in the most delectable coffee.
Owl and Lark Let’s kick things off with a spot I frequent so often; I might as well have a desk there. Owl and Lark, situated in the heart of Lagrange Township, is the epitome of a trendy, upscale coffee shop, ticking all the boxes for a thriving culinary venture. Its prime location, exquisite decor, and consistently delightful coffee make it a standout choice. Besides their heavenly coffee, Owl and Lark also dazzles with some of the most fantastic salads and smoothies. From the moment I stepped in, I’ve always felt at home—this coffee shop and juice bar not only fuels my caffeine needs but rejuvenates my soul.
The Wormhole Heading to the north side of Chicago, The Wormhole awaits—an eclectic haven that welcomes all. The positive vibes hit me immediately upon my first visit; the friendly atmosphere was contagious. My cappuccino was a work of art, adorned with beautiful latte art, accompanied by an adorable teddy graham bear. Almost too cute to consume, this coffee shop deserves all the accolades and spotlight it receives.
Ipsento 606 Seattle, step aside! Ipsento reigns supreme with the best coffee and a congregation of hipsters, myself included. Upon entering, you’ll notice the serious dedication to the art of coffee, with designated baristas stationed at two espresso machines. The first sip of my cappuccino was nothing short of heavenly, inducing a Meg Ryan moment. On warmer days, the windows open up to a picturesque park outside, making it the ideal Chicago coffee shop location.
Goddess and The Baker (on Wabash) Nestled in the heart of downtown Chicago, Goddess and The Baker is a quirky and chic café that’s an exquisitely designed oasis. Tourists and locals alike flock to this location at 33 South Wabash Avenue. Any caffeinated beverage you can think of, and some you probably couldn’t, are available in this amazing coffee shop. I often go here to work remotely and meet new and random people. This place is definitely a 10 out of 10 on my coffee scale!
